Gratitude Week: CHOP Thanks GIANT!

This week we will be celebrating Gratitude Week! We are taking this week to recognize and thank our valued fundraising partners, including GIANT Food Stores!

This past year, GIANT Food Stores in the Philadelphia market participated in seasonal in-store campaigns that collectively raised $1,260,461.50 which supports Child Life and Family Services at CHOP! GIANT also provided a gift to CHOP’s three Urgent Care Centers to make sure there are books and snacks for families while they wait for an unanticipated doctor’s visit. Lastly, GIANT gave a gift that allowed CHOP to open the first pediatric hospital based food pharmacy in the country. The Healthy Weight Food Pharmacy is available so that families experiencing food insecurity can take home healthy perishable and non-perishable food directly from their appointments.
