Meet CHOP Ambassador – Giulianna!

CHOP Patient Ambassador

When Giulianna was just 9 months old, she was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma. She underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy and surgeries to remove a tumor, the size of a grapefruit, from her chest. The Child Life team at CHOP helped both Giulianna and her older sister, Francesca, deal with the emotional impact of a life-threatening disease. Through art, both sisters were encouraged to express themselves.

Thankfully, Giulianna has been in remission for almost six years now. Her family will always be grateful for the support the Child Life team provided during such a traumatic time in their lives.

Funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network support CHOP’s Child Life programs and other programs that help children and families cope with the hospital experience.
